Bring local organic food growers into a local food network

Points

Langney Priory could be an ideal hub point within an Eastbourne food network as it has organic food growing within its gardens and has plans for a cafe, plus hospitality & catering microbusinesses within its grounds.

The recently formed Eastbourne Food Partnership can be instrumental in setting up this local food network, and some members of it have already started making strong connections with some local organic food growers, such as Aweside Farm and Fanfield Farm.

This will improve access to healthy food for more people in the town and improve our resilience and community life. It should be equitable such that those currently with the least access are targetted to improve opportunity to gain from the scheme and improve health disparities
